Geman Embassy Phnom Penh participated in the launch of “Cambodia’s Foreign Relations in Regional and Global Context” published by Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Though the publication is funded by the German political foundation, the book is the product of a local initiative as it was mainly outlined, researched, written and edited by Cambodian scholars, said Ms. Daniela Dempf, Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy Phnom Penh, in her opening remark. The book consists of 20 chapters and discusses a comprehensive range of aspects of Cambodia’s international relations. Dr. Deth Sok Odom, one of the editors, said that the publication fills a gap as a resource for teaching and researching the International Relations of Cambodia.
The book took one and a half years to complete and is the final of KAS Cambodia’s country Representative, Mr. Rene Gradwohl, as his mandate is coming to an end. In his opening remark, he said this is one of his favorite achievements with KAS Cambodia and he thanked all authors who shared their deep insights and expertise of their specific fields of research.
The book can be found here http://www.kas.de/kambodscha/en/publications/51313/ ; hardcopies are available at KAS Phnom Penh office.
