On 2 December 2015 the Head of the Cambodian Delegation H.E. Chhieng Yanara, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Cambodian Rehabilitation and Development Board (CRDB) at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and Klaus Supp, Head of the Division China, Central Asia, East Asia, Laos and Cambodia in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) signed the Summary Record of the Negotiations on Development Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Both sides agreed on the continuation of the cooperation in the agreed priority areas. The activities in the priority area "Health" will continue to focus on the establishment of a social security system for health. In the priority area “Rural Development” Germany will concentrate more strongly on economic development . In the area "Good Governance" successful approaches to support the decentralization and administrative reform will be continued.
Overall, Germany committed new ODA to Cambodia at the amount of €36,740,000.00 for the years 2015 and 2016.
