The 23rd Anniversary of the Day of German Unity
Germany donates 1,112,500 € for the Mine Action Program in Siem Reap and Oddar Meanchey provinces, thus enabling the continued mine clearance in Cambodia. The decontamination of land renders the same viable once again for farming, settlement or the construction of infrastructure. The signing of the agreement between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Royal Government of Cambodia took place on 13 February 2013 at the Council of Ministers in Phnom Penh.

Visit of President of GCS at the Embassy
On 4 February 2011, Dr. med. Chan Thong Sérey, President of the German-Cambodian Society (GCS), visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Phnom Penh. On this occasion he presented a leather character of the classical Cambodian shadow theater to the Ambassador Dr. Moser. The figure depicts the monkey king and was manufactured by young students on the premises of the GCS in the Siem Reap province.

On 19 October 2010, H.E. Mr. Heng Ratana, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Director General of Cambodian Mine Action Center, and H.E. Dr. Wolfgang Moser, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, signed a further Agreement on “Humanitarian Demining in Oddar Meanchey and Siem Reap Provinces”.
Mr. Peter Willers, retired Colonel of the German Armed Forces and at present Co-Director of Demining Unit 6 in Siem Reap has been honoured February 10, 2010 with the Royal Sahametrei Decoration, Officers Class, for his achievements in his work at DU 6.

The German art collector Dr. Wolfgang Felten on 5 December 2009 has in the presence of H.E. Him Chhem, Minister for Culture and Fine Arts, donated a valuable Khmer statue in Baphuon style dating back to the 11th century to the National Museum in Phnom Penh.
